TARAZONA: THE FIRST SPANISH COMPANY TO PRODUCE AdBlue® FROM SOLID UREA

In Tarazona we pull for innovation and sustainable development. This is the reason why in 2005 we decided to diversify our business with the AdBlue® production, becoming the first Spanish company to produce this additive from solid urea according to the DIN70071 standard.

WHAT’S THE AdBlue®?

AdBlue® is a chemical additive that reduces the NOx (nitrogen oxides) emissions from heavy diesel vehicles equipped with SCR (Selective Catalytic Reduction) technology.

AdBlue® is a registered brand by the German cars manufacturers VDA-Federation.

TARAZONA AND AdBlue®

Our innovation department entirely developed the technology needed for the AdBlue® production and in 2006 we opened the plant for AdBlue® exclusive production, capable to produce 35,000 tons/year.

Nowadays, we manufacture AdBlue® exclusively for Yara, now under the commercial name Air1®. Our plant is certified for VDA and we produce according to the ISO 22.241-1/2, the landmark worldwide.

DID YOU KNOW…?

In October 2006 it entried into force the European Directive Euro IV which regulates the gas combustion emissions for industrial vehicles provided with an SCR system.
